After discussing the idea of a guild for people with any form of social anxiety on the WoW General Forum, we founded Paranoid and slowly but steadily, people started to join. Messages of support and offers of help have been flooding in, especially after we received some (unintended) exposure via wow.joystiq.com.
The article was about Thriftee, also known as Döra the Explorer, who leveled to 85 without spending a copper. The link provided in the article lead visitors to the main page of Döra’s log, where she had just posted about her new challenge: Paranoid.
At the time of writing, we’re about 20 members strong and still growing. We have chatty members, quiet members, members who are comfortable grouping with strangers but not ‘regular’ guildies and vice versa, etc, etc. Some members have already reached a higher level and happily solo or level an alt while they wait for us to catch up.We’re getting ready to try our first Guild run, a low level dungeon, and while we’re all still getting to know each other, we’re all looking forward to it.
Personally, I’m looking forward to us reaching the Obsidium Sanctum.
There’s a certain dragon there I’d like to have a word with… ^^
