Paranoid’s 15th Anniversary
This page is going to serve as the ‘portal’ to all things to do with the 15th anniversary. It’ll be added to, and updated, throughout the ‘path to celebration’, and afterwards serve as a monument to the event. Announcements will be made through discord/the forum/in game MotD when this page is updated.
15 years is a BIG birthday and worth celebrating properly!
Activities
- Awards – Part heartwarming acknowledgement, part light-hearted fun. No prizes as such, apart from badges unlocked on the member profile to mark the award. On Monday, June 1st, a form will unlock at the bottom of this page, for you to submit your nominations!
- Memories – again on Monday, June 1st, a form will open for you to submit screencaps, or anecdotal stories of fun/good vibes/heartwarming memories you’ve had with the guild. These will be locked for members only to view so there aren’t any privacy concerns. Intended to both celebrate the special ethos of our guild, marking 15 years of being a friendly/supportive place for folks with anxiety, and also to help preserve Paranoid’s history.
- The Raffle – All active members of the guild can enter, from June 1st, until an hour before the party starts on June 19th. For full details, including a countdown to the deadline, see the Raffle section of this page. The prize is going to be a WoW Token!
- Housing Contest!
- Culminating in the in-game party Friday 19th, June (20:00 – 22:00 realm time)
Housing Contest Details
- MAX build size of one small room, and it could be smaller. Want to use a cupboard, or a corner of a room? Go for it. The max isn’t the requirement, it’s the limit. We don’t want to intrude too much on people’s designs for their home, or their decor budget.
- The THEME is “Friends and Family”
- How you interpret that is entirely up to you. Creativity is kinda the name of the game here (more on that in a moment).
- Submissions will be in two parts. Screenshots/video and also opening up your home for visitors. Unlike the previous transmog contests, entries aren’t anonymous.
- In order to submit your entry, you will be required to have a guild member account.
- PRIZES – the winner gets their choice of crafted decor (including any decor added in Midnight!!). Everyone who participates will get their entries showcased, and a badge added to their members website profile [I know I said this about the last transmog contest too, and I still haven’t coded it /cough. It’s coming I promise.]
Entries will be judged by voters on the following criteria:
- How well the entry matches the theme
- Layout/lighting
- Unique kitbashing ideas (kitbashing is merging decor together to create the impression of items we don’t have. Common examples I’ve seen would be modern stoves, or computer/TV setups etc.)
- Storytelling
Important Dates
- Deadline for Entries – Noon Friday, June 19th
- Home permissions for the entry house must be set to allow visitors, when I check just before the party on Friday Afternoon and reveal the entrants.
- Voting will be open from the time the entries are revealed, until Midnight Friday, August 3rd.
- The winner will then be revealed! Announced on the website/forum/discord (and contacted in game if possible).

ONE WoW Token is up for grabs! We felt this was a good prize as it would have value to everyone. Somebody could use it for a months subscription, or put the balance towards something in the in-game store.
How will the raffle work?
- Enter by filling in the form below.
- ONE entry per person.
- IMPORTANT! You must enter with the character that is in the MEMBER/NEW MEMBER rank of the guild! Why? Because only one character per member is in that rank, so it's an easy way of confirming eligibility.
- A list of all the entrants will be visible. The moment you enter and return to this page, your name should be added so you can be confident that you have been entered successfully.
- The form will close to new entries ONE HOUR BEFORE the party on June 19th. Deadline for entering is therefore 19:00 REALM TIME, June 19th. The countdown above should display remaining time left.
- The draw will be done via Wheel of Names and will take place at some point during the party on June 19th.
- We are hoping to be able to stream the draw live to watch on this webpage. The draw will also be recorded via OBS.
- Hopefully the winner will be at the party and we can all /cheer and congratulate them. However, if they can't make it, then no problem they will be contacted through email/discord/in-game mail/in-game whispers etc. to ensure they know as soon as possible.
- The officers won't be participating in case RNG falls awkwardly.
